Employee Spotlight – Kevin Brueck

Kevin Brueck knows what it takes to scale manufacturing because he has spent decades doing it. With more than 30 years of experience across global organizations like General Electric and ABB, Kevin brings deep operational expertise to Hyper’s mission-driven, fast-moving team. What defines his impact is not just his professional foundation, but his ability to adapt, build, and lead through constant growth.

Kevin’s career came full circle in Burlington, Iowa, where he had built much of his professional life before a local ABB plant closed and product lines were moved elsewhere. When a former co-worker introduced him to Hyper, Kevin saw an opportunity to continue doing meaningful work without leaving the community he had long called home. “I decided to join the start-up, which allowed me to stay in Burlington, IA. The rest is history,” Kevin says, looking back on a decision that brought both continuity and a new chapter.

Kevin has been part of many production ramp-ups throughout his career, but Hyper stands apart. “What this company has achieved is nothing short of amazing. I have never seen output more than double year over year and still keep that momentum.”
That level of growth comes with challenges, but it also fuels Kevin’s motivation. Each day brings new problems to solve, new systems to improve, and new opportunities to support customers at scale. “With how fast we are growing, it is easy to stay motivated. You know the work you are doing matters.”

When he first joined Hyper, the team was small, the pace was fast, and there was no such thing as staying perfectly inside your lane. Even with a deep operations background, he found himself jumping into parts of the business he had never owned before.
“Early on, I had to learn logistics and shipping from scratch,” he explains. “It was not something I had done before, but that is what Hyper requires. You figure it out and make it work.”

That is the kind of environment he has come to appreciate: one where curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone can change what you thought you were capable of.
“Hyper teaches you there are no limits to what you can do when you are willing to learn and step outside your comfort zone.”

Kevin approaches his work with a mindset shaped by ownership, transparency, and a willingness to step into unfamiliar territory, using Hyper’s pillars as a guide for how he supports customers, solves challenges, and pushes past what once seemed possible.

“We all had to wear several hats and perform duties which were new to us. I learn something new every day without even trying. Hyper has taught me to get out of my comfort zone and do whatever I can to help. There is never a dull day and there are so many opportunities to learn.”

One of the biggest transitions Kevin faced at Hyper was learning how to support manufacturing partners from a different vantage point. After years of solving problems directly from the production floor, he had to adjust to a model where visibility, communication, and collaboration happen across partner sites in real time.
HyperSpace became a key part of that shift, giving the team a clearer view into what was happening across the manufacturing network without needing to be physically present at every location.

“At first, my instinct was to go out on the floor and see things in person,” he says. “But that is not always possible here.”
Instead, he leaned into the tools, data, photos, videos, live feeds, and partner expertise available through Hyper’s connected approach. That visibility allows him to move quickly between sites, support teams faster, and help solve issues before they slow progress.
“Now I can jump from one partner to another instantly and help solve problems faster than ever before.”

For anyone just starting at Hyper, Kevin’s advice is simple: learn from the people around you and be willing to step into the unfamiliar.
“Work with and learn from all the amazingly talented people here,” he says. “There is a tremendous amount of experience across this team, and people are willing to share it.”

That openness is part of what has stood out to him most. Whether someone is solving a customer challenge, supporting a partner, or helping a teammate work through something new, Kevin sees a culture built on shared effort.

“Get out of your comfort zone and try something new,” he says. “Learn from every experience.”

Kevin’s impact at Hyper comes from more than what he knows. It comes from how he shows up: willing to learn, quick to adapt, and focused on helping the team keep moving forward.

From helping shape production planning across Hyper’s manufacturing partners to supporting customers through rapid growth, Kevin continues to lead with transparency, ownership, and a clear focus on doing what is right.

His story reflects the kind of mindset Hyper is built on: trust the team, move with purpose, solve what is in front of you, and never assume the limit has already been reached.
